OUR SPECIAL "SURPRISE" BABY KYRA WE WERE TOLD WAS DUE THE 1ST OF APRIL 2009, SURELY ENOUGH AT 00.32
ON HER DUE DATE AND ALL, {APRIL FOOLS DAY}:), WEIGHING 7LB 5OZ PERFECT JUST ISN'T THE WORD, SHE WAS
THE SPITTING IMAGE OF OUR 2ND DAUGHTER SERENA, (SERENA LUVED THIS), WE COULD ALSO SEE HER ELDEST
SISTER KEISHA WEN SHE SCRUNCHED HER LIL FACE UP, AND HER BROTHER TOBEY GAVE HER HIS NOSE :). KYRA
WIL LIVE ON THROUGH THEM ALL, THANKFULLY.
KYRA WAS A PERFECTLY HEALTHY BABY, SHE WAS SO HUNGRY I COULD ONLY FEED HER MYSELF FOR 2 WEEKS, BUT
IT WAS BETTER THEN NOT GETTING TO AT ALL. SADLY ON THE MORNING OF 12.05.09 SHE PASSED, SHE HAD A
LOVELY LITTLE SMILE ON HER FACE WHEN I LIFTED HER FROM HER BASKET BESIDE THE BED, BUT I KNEW
SOMETHING WAS WRONG. THE AMBULANCE WAS VERY QUICK 2 ARRIVE BUT SHE WAS GONE ~ TO COT DEATH. WHEN WE
ARRIVED AT THE HOSPITAL AFTER THE AMBULANCE, WE WERE TAKEN INTO A ROOM AND TOLD KYRA WAS STILL BEEN
WORKED ON BY DOCTORS IN THE ROOM NEXT TO US, ALL THE TIME WE SAT THERE I REALLY THOUGHT WE WERE
GOING TO BE TOLD THAT THEY WOULD GET HER BREATHING AGAIN, MY PARTNER KNEW SHE WAS GONE BUT MAYBE I
JUST DIDN'T WANT 2 ACCEPT IT, BUT WHEN 4 DOCTORS CAME IN I KNEW SHE REALLY WAS GONE, I KEPT BEGGING
THEM 2 TRY FOR JUST 5 MORE MINUTES BUT IT WAS 2 LATE. I TOLD THEM I WANTED HER BACK STRAIGHT AWAY,
THEY WENT INTO THE OTHER ROOM AND TOOK KYRA INTO US, OUR WEE ANGEL LOOKED SO BEAUTIFUL, EVEN IN
DEATH, AS WORD SPREAD AROUND, ALL MY FAMILY & FRIENDS CAME UP 2 THE HOSPITAL 2GET ONE LAST HOLD OF
OUR ANGEL. SHE JUST LOOKED LIKE SHE WAS SLEEPING, STILL HAD HER ROSY COLOUR AND STILL FELT SO WARM.
SHE WAS BAPTISED IN THE HOSPITAL, THEN WE WHERE TAKEN 2 THE HOSPITAL CHAPEL WHERE WITH FAMILY &
FRIENDS WE HAD A PRAYER SERVICE. WE HAD TO LEAVE KYRA THERE OVER NIGHT AS SHE HAD 2 HAVE A POST
MORTEM, WE GOT TO TAKE HER HOME THE NEXT DAY IN HER LITTLE WHITE BOX, IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF
OUR LIVES, WE GOT TO WAKE HER FOR THE DAY AND SHE STILL LOOKED SO BEAUTIFUL ONLY CHUBBIER & SHE
STILL HAD HER LITTLE SMILE, I STAYED LYING OVER HER ALL NIGHT UNTIL THE TIME CAME THE NEXT MORNING
TO TAKE HER TO BE BURIED, WE WANTED 2 PLAY HER TINKERBELL SONG AT THE FUNERAL BUT THE RADIO
WOULDN'T WORK. BUT WE HAVE A LOVELY PARISH PRIEST WHO ALLOWED US 2 HAVE A MASS FOR HER 1ST MONTH
MINE SO WE PLAYED THE SONG AT THAT. HER SISTERS TOOK IT VERY WELL BUT HAD LOADS OF QUESTIONS WHICH
WE SAT THEM DOWN AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING AS BEST WE COULD. AND THEIR BROTHER IS TOO YOUNG TO
UNDERSTAND BUT STIL TALKS ABOUT HER EVERY DAY AND KISSES HER PICTURES, WE VISIT HER GARDEN EVERY
EVENING AS IT'S JUST UP THE ROAD SO WE GET TO SAY GOODNIGHT WITH THE KIDS AND WE SAY OUR PRAYERS TO
OUR LITTLE GUARDIAN ANGEL. THEN AGAIN WE ARE SO LUCKY WE HAD THOSE 6 WEEKS, WE THANK GOD FOR THAT,
IT WAS BETTER THAN NOT SPENDING A SECOND WITH HER, LIKE SOME PEOPLE WHO ARN'T LUCKY ENOUGH TO EVEN
GIVE DER BABY THEIR 1ST BOTTLE, MY HEART ACHES FOR THEM.
